Ishaq Dar Appointed As Pakistan's New Foreign Minister

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Ishaq Dar, a prominent leader from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a close relative of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has been appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a prestigious position within the government. This decision was made following the administration of the oath to the 19-member federal cabinet of the newly elected Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, by President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had earlier submitted a summary to President Zardari, proposing the appointment of the cabinet, consisting of 18 federal ministers and one minister of state. Notably, the PML-N’s key ally, the PPP, declined to join the federal cabinet.
