ISLAMABAD – In response to recent events, Pakistan’s national carrier and other private airlines have been instructed to avoid Iran’s airspace. Sources revealed that Pakistan International Airlines and carriers from Central Asia and Europe should enter Pakistan via the Muscat route. Flights from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to Pakistan are also directed to steer clear of Iran’s airspace.

Pakistan’s aviation regulator has heightened vigilance, especially along the western border. These measures follow tensions between the two Islamic nations that escalated when Iran targeted Pakistan’s Balochistan province without provocation. In response, Pakistan’s armed forces executed well-timed and precise strikes within Iran.

According to a press release from the Pakistan Army’s media wing, the strikes utilized drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons. Maximum care was taken to avoid collateral damage. The operation, codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar,’ successfully targeted hideouts used by terrorist organizations, including the Balochistan Liberation Army and Balochistan Liberation Front.

The hideouts housed notorious terrorists, such as Dosta (alias Chairman), Bajjar (alias Soghat), Sahil (alias Shafaq), Asghar (alias Basham), and Wazir (alias Wazi). The official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure. The statement reiterated the determination to defeat all enemies with the support of the people of Pakistan.

Looking ahead, the statement suggested that dialogue and cooperation are prudent for resolving bilateral issues between the two neighboring, brotherly countries.
