[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In Rawalpindi, a terminally ill woman saved three lives by donating her vital organs, namely her liver and kidneys. Doctors at Safari Hospital conducted kidney transplants, providing two patients with a renewed chance at life.

Rifat Zartaj, before her demise, had expressed her desire to donate vital organs in a will. Her liver was transplanted into patient Omar Khayyam at PKLI, and her kidneys benefited 28-year-old Ahsan Jameel and 50-year-old Major Rukhsana.

Zartaj’s brother, Dr. Fahad Abbas, shared that she had made the organ donation will in 2012. Her daughter, Dr. Noor Al Huda, mentioned that the Safari Hospital doctors honored her mother’s wish.

Doctors reported that patients who underwent liver and kidney transplants were in the process of recovery.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
