Islamabad – The nationwide implementation of electronic passports has been initiated by the government to simplify the airport immigration process for travelers.
Equipped with over 20 features, the e-passport will contain comprehensive information about the passenger and their travel history. Individuals can apply for the e-passport at any passport office throughout the country.

Reports suggest that smart gates will be deployed at all international airports in Pakistan, with e-passport holders utilizing them for immigration procedures.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has released the fee structure for various categories of the e-passport. The rates are as follows:
