[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Google has announced a new policy that will deactivate all dormant Google accounts on December 1st, 2023.
According to Google, any account that has not been used in the last two years will be erased, along with all of its material across all of its products and services, including Gmail. Once deleted, the same Gmail address cannot be used to create a new account.

Furthermore, before any action is taken, the users would receive repeated email warnings to their emails and recovery emails (if supplied). Reminder emails will also be sent out at least 8 months in advance.
However, YouTube channels, videos, and comments are exempt from the rules. Google advises the following methods for keeping your account active:
- Emails are sent and read.
- I’m watching videos on YouTube.
- Google Drive is being used.
- I’m going to download an app.
- Photo sharing is an example of content sharing.
- Using the Google search engine.
- Use Sign in using Google to access a third-party app.
