The CEO of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has noted that both the programmes are distinct in many respects and that “Threads isn’t built to completely replace Twitter” while the internet continues to enjoy the new rivalry between Elon Musk’s “Twitter” and Mark Zuckerberg’s “Threads”.
In a recent interview, Mosseri explained that the purpose of Threads is not to take the place of Twitter, but rather to serve as “a public square for communities on Instagram that never really embraced Twitter,” adding that its users are those looking for a “less angry place” for conversation.
As a “less angry place” for dialogue, Meta created Threads to be more casual and less serious than Twitter, which is frequently the scene of significant political announcements and discussions.

“Politics and hard news are inevitably going to show up on Threads – they have on Instagram as well to some extent, but we’re not going to do anything to encourage those verticals,” Mosseri added.
Later in the discussion, Mosseri noted that while political debates and hard news are crucial for society, the participation or cash they would generate would also pose threats to one’s integrity, negativity, or scrutiny.
Mosseri asserts that Threads, which is avoiding “hard news,” will undoubtedly go into other fascinating subjects like sports, music, fashion, beauty, entertainment, and more.
If you really want to find an alternative to the good ol’ Twitter, we would recommend using “Mastodon,” which is an open source Microblogging platform that has been quite popular lately. Threads, which has almost reached a 100 million users, may not exactly be the Twitter alternative people are expecting.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
