Pakistan Rangers Punjab has announced 205 new vacancies for candidates seeking employment in various positions, including Lady Rangers, religious teachers, cooks, sanitary workers and other support staff.
The recruitment will be conducted according to merit and regional quotas, with positions ranging from BPS-01 to BPS-11.
Candidates applying for most positions must ensure their applications reach the recruitment office by September 25, 2026. Lady Ranger candidates have a separate registration schedule and must appear in person between September 28 and October 2, 2026.

The 83 support-trade vacancies include boatmen, barbers, carpenters, washermen, electricians, masons, plumbers and painters.
Qualification Requirements
Candidates must meet the educational and other requirements specified for their respective positions.
Applicants for the Religious Teacher position are required to hold Shahadat-ul-Alamiyah from an HEC-recognised institution, along with the required FA/FSc qualification.
For Lady Ranger positions, candidates must have passed Middle. Applicants with higher qualifications may receive preference, while candidates holding a BSN qualification or nursing diploma will also be preferred.
Candidates applying for Cook positions must have passed Middle and possess cooking skills.
According to the advertisement, no specific educational qualification has been mentioned for sanitary workers and several other support trades.
Age and Physical Requirements
Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of September 28, 2026. The stated age limit includes a five-year government age relaxation.
Physical requirements vary according to the position.
The minimum height requirement is 5 feet 6 inches for male Religious Teacher and Cook applicants. Lady Ranger candidates must be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, while sanitary workers and other support-trade applicants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches.
Taller candidates will receive preference where applicable.
Male candidates must have a chest measurement of 33 inches with 1.5 inches of expansion. The advertisement lists a minimum weight of 121 pounds, approximately 55 kilograms.
For female candidates, weight will be assessed according to BMI standards.
Merit and Regional Quotas
Recruitment will be carried out according to the prescribed merit and regional quota system.
The advertisement allocates 7.5% of seats to open merit, while 50% are allocated to Punjab, including Islamabad.
The remaining quotas include 7.6% for Sindh Urban, 11.4% for Sindh Rural, 14.5% for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including merged tribal districts, 6% for Balochistan, 1% for Gilgit-Baltistan and 2% for Azad Kashmir.
The recruitment notice also reserves 5% of seats for minorities.
How to Apply for Lady Ranger Posts
Lady Ranger candidates must appear in person at Headquarters Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur, between September 28 and October 2, 2026 for registration.
Candidates are required to bring their original documents along with photocopies.
They must also bring two postal envelopes carrying their complete address and PT shoes for the physical test.
Applicants should ensure that all required documents are available before arriving for registration.
How to Apply for Other Positions
Candidates applying for Religious Teacher, Cook, Sanitary Worker and other support positions must submit their applications by post.

Applications must reach the designated office by September 25, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
Documents Required
Candidates will need to present their original educational certificates, domicile and NADRA-issued CNIC, along with two photocopies of each document.
Applicants must also provide two attested passport-size photographs.
Educational documents should have the required verification from the relevant educational board or university.
Candidates already working in government or semi-government departments must provide an original No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department head. Applicants without the required NOC will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment process.
Selection Process
The recruitment process includes several stages, depending on the position.
These may include registration, an initial medical examination, physical assessment, written test and interview, where applicable.
Candidates who successfully complete the initial stages will proceed to further assessments.
Final selection will be based on merit and the requirements of the relevant position.
Selected candidates will undergo a final medical examination at Pakistan Rangers Punjab Hospital, Lahore. Candidates will be responsible for the cost of the required medical tests.
Who Is Not Eligible?
The recruitment advertisement sets out several restrictions for applicants.
Candidates who have previously been dismissed or removed from Pakistan Rangers or government service on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.
Individuals convicted by a court are also excluded.
Other restrictions apply to candidates who were previously declared medically unfit or removed from Rangers or the armed forces because of forged documents or misconduct.
Applicants must therefore provide genuine documents and accurate information throughout the recruitment process.
Pay and Recruitment Conditions
Selected candidates will receive salaries according to the basic pay scale assigned to their respective positions, along with applicable allowances.
However, Pakistan Rangers Punjab will not provide travel or daily allowances during the recruitment process.
Candidates will have to arrange their own accommodation and meals while attending recruitment activities.
