The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has announced merit-based walk-in admissions for 2026. The admission process will be conducted online.
According to the university, the application portal will open on the night of September 11. Candidates can submit their applications until September 15, 2026.
The admissions will be offered against available seats at different UET campuses. Selection will depend on merit and the number of seats available.
UET will use the fourth merit list as the basis for these admissions. Candidates can select only one programme during the application process.
They can also choose one campus and one admission category. The selected programme must fall within the candidate’s merit range.
Who Can Apply for UET Walk-In Admissions?
Candidates who previously applied for leftover seats can apply again. This applies to applicants who were not selected on merit.
Such candidates can submit their applications without paying an application fee. Students who have already secured a seat can also apply.
However, candidates who already have a seat must generate a new challan. They will need to pay Rs. 3,000 for the new application.
The same Rs. 3,000 payment applies to candidates who did not submit an application previously. Applicants must complete the payment process before submitting their applications.
UET Walk-In Admission Schedule
The online admission portal will open on September 11 at night. The deadline for applications is September 15, 2026.
UET will process applications every Friday. New merit lists will also be issued on Fridays.
The second and final admission round will begin on September 19, 2026. Candidates should follow the portal for updates about this round.
How to Apply
Candidates must complete the admission process through the official UET Lahore admission portal. Applicants should fill out the online form carefully.
Candidates required to pay the fee must first generate the Rs. 3,000 challan. They should then make the required payment before completing their application.
Each candidate can select only one discipline or programme. They can also select only one campus and category.
Candidates may choose a department even if it currently has no vacant seat. UET has stated that vacancies may become available after cancellations.
However, submitting an application does not guarantee admission. Final selection will depend on merit and available seats.
Merit Lists and Seat Allocation
The university will review applications every Friday. It will issue subsequent merit lists based on merit and available vacancies.
Seats may become available when selected candidates cancel their admissions. These vacancies can then be offered to other eligible applicants.
