The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has launched a mobile customer facilitation unit, “Sahulat Van,” in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area to provide essential gas-related services directly at residents’ doorsteps.
According to an official statement, the Sahulat Van aims to eliminate the need for customers to visit SSGC’s customer facilitation centres for routine complaints and service requests.
The mobile unit will offer a variety of services, including resolving complaints related to gas leakage, low gas pressure, faulty gas meters, billing disputes, and billing corrections. It will also provide duplicate gas bills on the spot for customers.
In addition, SSGC officials stationed in the van will guide residents through the process of applying for new gas connections, making customer support more accessible and convenient.
SSGC selected Gulistan-e-Johar as the first location for the initiative due to the large number of customer complaints and service requests received from the area.
The company said the launch of the Sahulat Van reflects its commitment to improving customer service by delivering essential facilities at people’s doorsteps, reducing pressure on fixed customer facilitation centres, and ensuring faster resolution of public complaints.
