HEC Opens Special HAT Test for Local and International Scholarships (1)

The HEC has announced a Special Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for students who want to apply for major scholarship programs. The test will be conducted through the Education Testing Council (ETC) and is intended for candidates seeking local and international scholarship opportunities.

According to the HEC, the Special HAT is required for students planning to apply for Commonwealth Scholarships, Chinese Government Scholarships, and other scholarship programs offered by the commission. The initiative aims to provide a standardized assessment for applicants pursuing higher education.

The Special HAT is designed for students who wish to continue their studies in MS, M.Phil., Ph.D., and other doctoral-level programs. Candidates applying under various HEC-funded scholarship schemes will need to complete this test as part of the application process.

The HEC has announced that online registration for the Special HAT will begin on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official Education Testing Council (ETC) online portal.

Applicants are advised to complete their registration as early as possible. The last date to submit online applications is Monday, August 3, 2026. Students should avoid waiting until the final day to reduce the risk of technical issues or delays during the registration process.

The Special HAT examination is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Candidates who successfully register will be able to download their roll number slips from the ETC portal before the examination.

The Education Testing Council will also publish important information on its website, including test center details, examination instructions, and other updates. Students are encouraged to regularly check the portal to stay informed throughout the process.

The HAT examination serves as an important step for students seeking scholarships for advanced studies. Through this assessment, eligible candidates can apply for a range of national and international scholarship opportunities supported by the HEC.

To complete the registration process, applicants must visit the official ETC portal, create a new account if required, or log in using their existing credentials. After signing in, candidates should carefully fill out the online application form and submit all required information before the deadline.

The HEC has advised students to ensure that their application details are accurate before submission. Any mistakes or incomplete information may affect the application process.
