Pakistan Issues New Advisory for Iran, Iraq Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has launched a new registration system for Ziyarat group organisers. The initiative aims to improve travel arrangements and provide safer, more reliable services for pilgrims visiting Iran and Iraq.

Under the updated system, only officially registered individuals and companies will be allowed to arrange Ziyarat bookings and travel packages. Unregistered operators will no longer be permitted to organise pilgrim journeys.

According to the ministry, a total of 262 Ziyarat group organisers have been approved under the Ziyarat Policy 2026. From now on, pilgrims will need to make their bookings and travel arrangements through these authorised operators.

The ministry has also published a complete list of registered Ziyarat organisers on its official website. This will allow travellers to check the status of a service provider before making any payment or confirming a booking.

Pilgrims have been strongly advised to choose only verified and registered operators. The ministry has warned people against dealing with unauthorised individuals or companies, as such transactions may involve fraud, financial losses, or unreliable services.

Officials clarified that the ministry will not be responsible for any loss suffered by pilgrims who choose to make arrangements through unregistered organisers. Travellers should therefore verify the operator’s details before handing over money or submitting personal documents.

The new registration system is intended to bring greater transparency and accountability to the Ziyarat travel process. It will also help authorities monitor the services offered by group organisers and take action against operators that fail to follow official rules.

According to officials, the initiative will help protect pilgrims from illegal businesses and reduce the risk of scams. It is also expected to improve coordination between the government, travel organisers, and pilgrims.

The ministry said the new policy is part of broader efforts to provide more organised, secure, and convenient travel facilities for people visiting religious sites in Iran and Iraq. Pilgrims are encouraged to carefully review the approved list and select a trusted operator before planning their journey.
