More than 200,000 bags of wheat that had been deemed unfit for human consumption and appeared to have rotted in government storage in Malir were forcibly distributed.
According to reports, these mill owners and managers are currently supplying the market with flour made from rotting wheat provided by the Sindh government. Additionally, reports indicate that the wheat that was ‘forced’ upon them isn’t even suitable for animal feed.

Furthermore, it was asserted that the outdated wheat bags in the government’s storage were provided by the Sindh Food Department to hide their corruption and incompetence.
In related news, the owners of flour mills in Sindh have voiced concern over the alleged failure of the province government to provide them with wheat despite receiving Rs. 3 billion in payment. The people are concerned about a shortage of flour due to the delay in wheat supplies.
Sindh Chaudhry Amir Abdullah, the chairman of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), has called an urgent gathering of the owners of flour mills to address the issue.
The owners voiced their displeasure at the meeting over the Sindh Food Department’s failure to deliver the promised 0.5 million sacks of wheat despite receiving money from the mills.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
