PMDC Extends MDCAT 2026 Registration Deadline for Students

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has extended the registration deadline for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, providing aspiring medical and dental students with additional time to complete their applications. The decision is expected to benefit thousands of candidates preparing to apply for admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.

According to a public notice issued by the PM&DC on July 8, 2026, candidates can now complete their online registration with the regular application fee until July 13, 2026. The extension gives students who were unable to meet the previous deadline another opportunity to submit their applications without paying additional charges.

The council has also revised the deadline for candidates applying with a late fee. Students who miss the regular registration deadline can now submit their applications with the prescribed late fee until July 18, 2026. The updated schedule replaces the council’s earlier public notice issued on June 19, 2026.

PM&DC said the extension was introduced to facilitate applicants and ensure that eligible students have sufficient time to complete the registration process. Candidates are advised to carefully review all application requirements before submitting their forms to avoid delays or rejection due to incomplete information.

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test is a mandatory requirement for students seeking admission to public and private medical and dental colleges in Pakistan. Every year, thousands of candidates appear in the examination as part of the admission process for MBBS and BDS degree programs.

The council has advised applicants to regularly visit its official website for the latest announcements, registration updates, and detailed instructions regarding the MDCAT 2026 application process. Students are also encouraged to verify that all personal and academic information provided during registration is accurate before submitting their applications.

Education experts have advised students not to wait until the final day to complete their registration, as heavy online traffic close to the deadline may result in technical issues. Completing the process early can help applicants avoid unnecessary complications and ensure their applications are submitted successfully.

The extension provides another opportunity for aspiring doctors and dentists who have not yet completed their registration. Eligible candidates are encouraged to take advantage of the revised schedule and finalize their applications before the respective deadlines.
