HEC Announces Fully Funded Thailand Scholarship for Pakistanis

The Higher Education Commission has announced a fully funded scholarship opportunity for Pakistani students seeking to pursue a Master’s degree in Thailand.

Applications are now open for the CGI Post-Graduate Scholarship Program 2027 offered by the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute. The scholarship is available for selected science-related disciplines and covers a wide range of academic and living expenses.

The program is open to students interested in Applied Biological Sciences, Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Sciences.

According to HEC, the scholarship provides comprehensive financial support, including full tuition fees, academic expenses, laboratory and thesis costs, round-trip airfare, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance, visa fees, and other related expenses.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 31, 2026, while results are expected to be announced around January 2027.

HEC clarified that the scholarships are being offered directly by CGI Thailand. Applicants must apply through the institute’s official application portal, while HEC is only facilitating awareness of the opportunity and bears no financial responsibility.

To be eligible, applicants must be under 30 years of age and hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or equivalent. Candidates should also have a relevant academic background and experience in scientific laboratory research.

Eligible fields include Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and other closely related disciplines.

Applicants must also provide proof of English language proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, a university-issued medium-of-instruction letter, or other acceptable evidence.

Required documents include academic transcripts, a passport-size photograph, a medical certificate, proof of English proficiency, three recommendation letters, a Statement of Purpose, and any additional documents requested by CGI.

The scholarship offers Pakistani students a valuable opportunity to pursue advanced research-based education at an internationally recognized graduate institute while studying in Thailand on a fully funded basis.
