Sufiyan Muqeem Wins PSL 11 Player of Tournament

Peshawar Zalmi spinner Sufiyan Muqeem was crowned Player of the Tournament in PSL 11 following an outstanding bowling performance throughout the competition.

The talented left-arm spinner delivered consistently, finishing the season with 22 wickets in 11 matches, making him the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He maintained an impressive economy rate of 7.20, along with an average of 14.40 and a strike rate of 12. His best bowling performance came with figures of 4 for 32, highlighting his match-winning ability.

In recognition of his exceptional form, Sufiyan Muqeem was also awarded the Fazal Mahmood cap for being the top wicket-taker, along with the Bowler of the Tournament award.

Zalmi captain Babar Azam also had a remarkable season, securing the Hanif Mohammad cap as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. He amassed 588 runs in 11 matches, maintaining an impressive average of 73.50 and a strike rate of 145.90. Although he was dismissed for a duck in the final, his overall performance included three centuries and three half-centuries, earning him the Batter of the Tournament award.

Kusal Mendis added to Zalmi’s success by being named Wicketkeeper of the Tournament after scoring 550 runs, making him the second-highest run-getter. He also contributed behind the stumps with two catches.

Another standout performer, Farhan Yousuf, claimed the Fielder of the Tournament award after taking 10 catches during the season.

The only major individual honor outside Zalmi went to Shadab Khan, captain of Islamabad United, who was named All-Rounder of the Tournament after scoring 173 runs and taking 17 wickets.
