Eidul Fitr 2026 Celebrated Worldwide including Saudi Arabia

Muslims around the globe are celebrating Eidul Fitr 2026 with deep religious devotion and joyful festivities, marking the end of Ramadan. The occasion is being observed with special prayers, family gatherings, and acts of charity in many countries.

In the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, expatriate communities, including overseas Pakistanis, are actively participating in Eidul Fitr celebrations while praying for peace and prosperity in Pakistan. Large congregations gathered at Islam’s holiest sites, including Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madina, where thousands offered Eid prayers.

In contrast, in Jerusalem, worshippers faced restrictions as prayers were held outside Al-Aqsa Mosque due to limited access imposed by Israeli forces. Across the Muslim world, Eidul Fitr prayers are also taking place in countries such as Turkiye, Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine, and Iraq. However, in Kuwait, authorities suspended Eid congregations at the Grand Mosque due to security concerns.

Eidul Fitr is also being widely celebrated in Europe, including the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Germany. Similarly, Muslims in the United States, Canada, and Australia are observing the festival, along with communities across Africa, including Morocco and Egypt.

Meanwhile, in Pakistan, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad confirmed that the Shawwal moon was not sighted. Consequently, Eidul Fitr will be observed on Saturday, March 21. The moon was also not sighted in India and Bangladesh, where Eidul Fitr will also fall on the same day.
