The Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) has announced the schedule for the First Annual Examination 2026. The schedule applies to several diploma programs, including the Diploma of Associate Engineer, Sino-Pak Dual Diploma, Diploma in Dress Designing and Dress Making, and City & Guilds Diploma programs.
According to the official notification, practical examinations for second, third, and fourth-year candidates will be conducted on April 16, 2026. The theory examinations for candidates of all years will start on June 29, 2026. PBTE has emphasized the importance of following the schedule to ensure smooth conduct of the Annual Examination.
The board has also issued the examination fee submission schedule. Candidates can submit their forms with a single fee until March 11, 2026. Forms submitted with a double fee will be accepted until March 18, while forms with a triple fee will be accepted until March 27.
After the triple-fee deadline, hardship cases may submit forms until April 7, subject to a daily fine of Rs500. No admission forms will be accepted after this final deadline.
Candidates appearing under the Golden Chance category can submit their special examination fee until March 27. Hardship cases for Golden Chance candidates will also be accepted until April 7 with a daily fine of Rs500.
The notification was issued under the direction of PBTE Chairman Dr. Faisal Mahmood and Controller of Examinations Irfan Qasim Malik. It has been circulated to all relevant institutions to ensure students are informed in advance.

PBTE officials stressed that students must adhere to deadlines to avoid fines or disqualification. Institutions are also advised to assist students in completing forms on time and preparing for both practical and theory parts of the Annual Examination.
