Former Cricketer Fawad Alam Steps Into Music With New Track

Former Pakistan cricketer Fawad Alam is stepping into music with a special track to support the national team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

The song, titled “Cricket Junoon Bolay”, is designed to boost morale for Pakistan’s players and fans. Fawad Alam shared a teaser of the track and confirmed that the full song will be released on February 5.

Speaking about his first musical venture, Fawad Alam said the idea behind the song is to energize fans and players during Pakistan’s World Cup campaign. The lyrics and composition were done by Wajid Saeed, while the music video has been directed by Mohsin Talat.

Fawad Alam has represented Pakistan in 19 Tests, 38 ODIs, and 24 T20Is. He was also part of the 2009 ICC T20 World Cup-winning squad. He said this song is a personal tribute to the tournament that holds a special place in his career.

On the cricketing side, Pakistan’s team has arrived in Sri Lanka and will take a two-day break before resuming training. The team is scheduled to play a warm-up match against Ireland on February 4 to finalize preparations.

The ICC T20 World Cup begins on February 7. Pakistan will open its campaign against the Netherlands. The team will then play the United States on February 10 and Namibia on February 18.

Pakistan will not play its group-stage match against India on February 15, in line with the government’s earlier decision.
