Stranded Passengers in snow-affected regions of Balochistan and northern Pakistan are being provided full support, following instructions from Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan. Authorities are working to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow in affected areas.
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has remained fully active in snow-affected regions, distributing hot meals and tea to passengers stranded due to heavy snowfall. NHA officials said this effort is part of their Service and Protection mission to help travelers in distress.
All major highways under NHA control are currently open and operational. Officials clarified that reports of blocked roads circulating on social media refer to routes under provincial government control.
NHA field teams are not only clearing snow from key highways but also assisting stranded passengers on critical routes. The Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway and other main highways remain fully operational, while ongoing snow-clearance operations continue on affected sections.
Authorities have advised travelers to avoid unnecessary journeys in snow-bound areas. Those traveling in affected regions are encouraged to use snow grip chains and follow official updates to ensure safety.
Officials emphasized that these measures are part of a broader effort to protect travelers and maintain uninterrupted road access during winter conditions. NHA teams are stationed at strategic points to respond quickly to emergencies and provide assistance whenever needed.
By actively monitoring highways and supporting stranded passengers, the NHA aims to prevent accidents, reduce delays, and ensure the welfare of travelers during heavy snowfall. Citizens are urged to cooperate with authorities and take necessary precautions while traveling.
