Pakistan Railways Updates Schedule amid Heavy Fog

Pakistan Railways has released an updated departure schedule following significant disruptions caused by dense fog, which affected several major train services departing from Lahore to Karachi and other destinations. Authorities have implemented revised timings to accommodate delays and ensure passenger safety amid low visibility conditions.

According to the revised schedule, the Karakoram Express, which runs between Lahore and Karachi, will now depart at 6:00 PM instead of its originally scheduled 3:00 PM, reflecting a three-hour delay due to fog. The Karachi Express has been affected even more severely, with its departure postponed from 6:00 PM to 12:45 AM, resulting in a delay of six hours and 45 minutes.

The Millat Express, operating from Lala Musa to Karachi, has also experienced disruptions. Initially scheduled to leave Faisalabad at 5:50 PM, the train will now depart at 12:00 AM, marking a delay of six hours and 10 minutes. Similarly, the Mianwali Express departure from Lahore has been pushed back from 9:10 PM to 11:45 PM, resulting in a delay of two hours and 35 minutes.

Pakistan Railways has urged passengers to verify the latest train timings before traveling, as further adjustments may be necessary depending on visibility and operational conditions. Officials have emphasized that the revised schedule is intended to prioritize safety and minimize risks caused by fog-related disruptions. Travelers are advised to remain updated through official channels and to plan their journeys accordingly, keeping in mind potential additional delays.
