DPI Colleges Allows Major Relief for Students Due to Severe Cold

The Directorate of Public Instruction Colleges has issued a notification granting uniform flexibility due to harsh winter conditions.
The decision aims to protect students from cold-related health issues during the ongoing cold spell.

According to the official notification, students are now allowed to wear winter clothing of any color.
Permitted items include sweaters, coats, jackets, caps, and socks to help students stay warm.

The directive applies to all public colleges operating under the jurisdiction of DPI Colleges.
Authorities stated that strict uniform enforcement could cause discomfort during extremely low temperatures.

Officials clarified that the relaxation is a temporary measure introduced purely on humanitarian grounds.
College administrations have been instructed to ensure smooth implementation without penalising students.

The notification further states that the decision will remain effective until February 28.
This timeframe covers the peak winter period when temperatures typically remain unusually low.

Students and parents have welcomed the move, calling it a practical and student-friendly decision.
Education officials believe the step will improve attendance and overall student well-being.
