According to police, the gift contained explosives that detonated as soon as it was plugged in.
While the groom died on the spot, his brother died as a result of injuries sustained during treatment.
According to police, the bomb was planted by the bride’s former lover, who was upset with her for marrying another man.

The accused, identified as Sarju Markam from the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended on Tuesday. He has not made any statements while in custody.
The explosion, which occurred on 3 April at the groom’s home in Kabirdham district of the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, injured four others, including an 18-month-old boy.
Mr Markam, 33, was in a relationship with the 29-year-old woman and insisted on making her his second wife, according to police.
But the woman’s family refused, and she married elsewhere.
