On Friday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir reiterated the armed forces and the nation’s resolve to thwart the hostile intentions of the country’s enemies. Speaking on Defense and Martyrs Day, he honored the sacrifices of those who have given their lives for Pakistan.
General Munir stressed that Pakistan’s stability is closely linked to the National Action Plan and clarified that Operation Azm-e-Istehkam is not a new military initiative and will not displace any populations.
He also noted that recent terrorist activities are desperate efforts by certain elements to undermine the state, warning that those who support or justify such actions will face growing pressure.
