In a joint operation on Wednesday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Frontier Corps (FC) arrested 33 Bangladeshi nationals near the Pak Iran border. The arrest took place in the Mashkil area of Chagai district, Balochistan, a remote region often used for illegal crossings.
The arrested individuals had entered Pakistan legally on visit visas during June and July. However, they attempted to cross the Pak Iran border without proper documentation or legal permission. Security forces intercepted the group as they tried to use an unfrequented route near the border.
When questioned, the Bangladeshi nationals failed to provide valid documents allowing them to enter Iran. Officials confirmed that all 33 individuals were taken into custody on the spot and handed over to the FIA for further investigation.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the group might be linked to a human trafficking network operating across the Pak Iran border. Authorities are probing deeper to identify the extent of this illegal operation.
The Mashkil area, where the arrest took place, is known for being a key transit point for irregular migration between Pakistan and Iran. Security forces have increased their vigilance in this region to curb illegal movement and trafficking.
This arrest at the Pak Iran border highlights the ongoing efforts of Pakistani law enforcement to secure the country’s borders. It also reflects the challenges faced in preventing unauthorized crossings in remote border areas.
The FIA and Frontier Corps remain committed to stopping illegal migration and trafficking through the Pak Iran border. Further updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
