The administration’s decision is aimed at ensuring peace and security during Muharram, a period known for increased religious activities and gatherings. In Rawalpindi, similar measures include enforcing Section 144 to prohibit the storage of building materials and parking of vehicles along the routes of Muharram processions in the twin city.
