Rapper 2 Chainz has filed a lawsuit against Pineapple Express Hollywood, a Los Angeles-based dispensary, alleging that he was defrauded of $1.5 million. The lawsuit, submitted by his investment company in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that the cannabis business failed to return his investment as agreed.
Originally, the dispensary was expected to open by April 2021, but multiple delays pushed the launch to March 2022. As per the terms of the agreement, 2 Chainz was entitled to withdraw 110% of his investment with 30 days’ notice. However, when he attempted to reclaim his investment in May 2022, the company allegedly did not honor this provision.

The lawsuit further states that when 2 Chainz directly contacted co-founder Vincent Zadeh in December 2022, he was informed that the return agreement would not be upheld. Additionally, reports suggest that other investors and business partners have also filed lawsuits against Zadeh, accusing him of failing to file income taxes and owing nearly $1.69 million in back taxes.
Matthew Feinstein, another co-founder of Pineapple Express, has denied the lawsuit’s allegations, asserting that the company does not owe 2 Chainz any money. While the original dispensary location has since closed, there are plans to reopen it in September.
2 Chainz has not yet made a public statement regarding the lawsuit. Meanwhile, he recently featured on Denzel Curry’s latest album, King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2, on the track “G/Z UP.”
