In a tragic incident in East Delhi’s Shakarpur, a 16-year-old boy named Sachin was allegedly stabbed to death by three of his friends after he refused to treat them following his purchase of a new mobile phone. The police reported that the three juveniles, also aged 16 and students in Class 9, have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta stated that a patrol team discovered blood stains on a street near Ramji Samosa shop around 7:15 PM on Monday. Upon inquiry, local residents informed the officers that a group of boys had attacked Sachin, who was subsequently taken to LNJP Hospital.

Sadly, Sachin succumbed to his injuries about an hour later, with authorities noting that he had sustained two stab wounds to his back. According to Gupta, the incident occurred in plain view of the public.
Investigations revealed that Sachin and a friend were returning home after purchasing the phone when they encountered the three boys, who demanded a treat to celebrate. When Sachin refused, an argument broke out, leading to the stabbing.
A case has been registered at the Shakarpur police station under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the BNS. The police used CCTV footage to identify the suspects, who were apprehended in the vicinity on Tuesday. Additionally, a dagger believed to have been used in the murder has been recovered from the accused.
