The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced new career opportunities for experienced professionals in Karachi. The vacancies are available in the Digital Innovations & Settlements Department (DI&SD), offering qualified candidates the chance to work in key areas related to banking technology, digital payments, software development, and financial innovation. Interested applicants can submit their applications online through the official SBP careers portal, with the deadline set for July 13, 2026.
According to the official announcement, SBP is recruiting for two positions: Deputy Director – Settlements Division (OG-3) and Innovation Hub Technologist. Both positions are based in Karachi and are aimed at professionals with strong technical expertise and relevant industry experience. The central bank is seeking candidates who can contribute to the modernization of Pakistan’s financial and payment infrastructure.
For the Deputy Director – Settlements Division (OG-3) position, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 16 years of education in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university. Candidates should not be older than 40 years as of the advertisement date and must have a minimum of eight years of experience in RTGS operations, payment infrastructure, or core banking systems.
Applicants for the Deputy Director role with expertise in SWIFT, ISO 20022, high-value payment systems, T24, Oracle Financials, PRISM systems, incident management tools, documentation, and problem-solving will be given preference during the selection process. The position requires professionals capable of managing complex settlement systems and supporting the smooth functioning of Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem.
For the Innovation Hub Technologist position, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 16 years of education, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. Applicants must also be 40 years of age or younger and have at least five years of experience in enterprise application development or implementation.
SBP is looking for candidates with expertise in technologies such as .NET, C/C++, Java, Node.js, Python, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, stakeholder coordination, and technical deployments.
