Officials said the department will take strong action against transporters who violate traffic rules. The warning comes ahead of increased movement of livestock during the Eid season.

Punjab Traffic Police spokesperson confirmed that DIG Traffic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir has issued clear instructions. He ordered strict monitoring across all major highways and cities in Punjab.

Authorities said many transporters often use passenger buses, vans, and coaches to carry animals. This practice is unsafe and strictly prohibited. The department said such violations will not be tolerated in Punjab.

DIG Traffic Punjab emphasized that sacrificial animals must only be transported through proper goods vehicles. He said carrying animals on rooftops or in overcrowded vehicles creates serious risks.

He added that both human lives and animals are endangered by unsafe transportation methods. The Punjab Traffic Police has directed all field officers to take immediate action against violators.

Special enforcement teams will be deployed at key entry and exit points across Punjab. These teams will check vehicles and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.

Officials said the crackdown will continue throughout the Eid holidays. The aim is to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow across highways and cities.

The Punjab Traffic Police has also urged transporters and livestock owners to follow safety rules. They were advised not to overload vehicles or use illegal transport methods to save costs.

Authorities appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement during Eid ul Azha. They said following traffic laws is essential for public safety in Punjab.

Awareness campaigns will also be launched in major cities. These campaigns will educate the public about safe livestock transport practices.
