The Punjab government has opened registrations for the latest cycle of the Chief Minister IT Internship Program, offering 2,000 paid internship opportunities to fresh IT graduates across the province. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000 during the four-month internship.
The program is being implemented under the Punjab government’s Work for Punjab platform in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). It aims to give fresh graduates practical industry experience and help them develop technical and professional skills needed for employment.
Candidates selected for the program will receive Rs50,000 per month for four months. The stipend will be linked to attendance, monthly performance and other program requirements. Interns will also be required to meet attendance standards, receive satisfactory evaluations from supervisors and submit monthly progress reports.
The program is open to graduates who have completed at least 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields. Eligible disciplines include Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Science, Graphic Designing, Multimedia, Animation, Telecom and Networking, Information Systems, Remote Sensing and GIS and other relevant areas.
Applicants must have completed their degree within the last four years. They must also be unemployed at the time of applying. Both male and female graduates can apply for the internship opportunities.
Candidates must have a valid CNIC and Punjab domicile. Their academic qualifications will also be subject to verification by the Higher Education Commission. Applicants are advised to ensure that the information provided in their applications matches their official academic and personal documents.
The internship will run for four months. During this period, selected graduates will work with participating companies and gain experience in professional IT environments. The program is intended to help participants understand workplace requirements, improve their technical skills and build practical experience that can support future employment.
Applicants should keep their CNIC, recent photograph and academic degree or transcript ready before beginning the registration process. Additional documents may be required during the verification and selection process.
