The Punjab government will distribute Honhaar Scholarships and laptops to students across all nine divisions of the province during October and November, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced.
According to the minister, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will distribute scholarships and laptops to students from Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan districts on October 15. The ceremony will take place at the University of Sahiwal.
Distribution to Cover All Nine Divisions
The October 15 event will bring together students from three districts to receive scholarships and laptops under the provincial government’s education initiatives.
The minister said similar ceremonies would be organised across all nine divisions of Punjab over the following weeks. The government plans to complete the distribution events during October and November.
The initiative is intended to support students through financial assistance and access to technology for their education. Scholarships can help students manage education-related expenses, while laptops can support digital learning and academic work.

Rana Sikandar Hayat described the announcement as good news for students across Punjab. He expressed hope that the distribution ceremonies would be completed in all nine divisions within the announced timeframe.
However, the minister did not disclose how many scholarships and laptops would be distributed at each event. Further details about the number of beneficiaries and the schedule for the remaining divisions are yet to be announced.
