Karachi is expected to experience hotter weather from Monday, with maximum temperatures likely to reach between 36°C and 38°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The Met Office said the city is currently experiencing partly cloudy conditions, with southwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 10 to 20 kilometres per hour.
Sea Breeze May Slow Down
The weather department warned that a high-pressure system could affect the speed of sea breezes, potentially causing temperatures to rise across Karachi.
Partly cloudy weather is expected to continue over the next two to three days. Temperatures are then expected to return to levels typical for October.
Residents may experience warmer daytime conditions if sea breezes weaken. People are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest hours and take precautions against heat.
Rain Possible in Balochistan
Meanwhile, the Met Office said a new westerly weather system is expected to affect the upper and northern parts of the country from October 12.
The system could also bring rainfall to various parts of Balochistan, according to the forecast.
The weather outlook suggests that Karachi may face a short period of warmer conditions, while some other parts of the country could experience changing weather as the new system moves in.
