The Pakistan Science Foundation has invited applications from young students to participate in the Asian Science Camp 2026. The event will take place from August 02 to 08 at the University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong.
According to officials, PSF will sponsor a team of five students. These students will be selected through a competitive process. The initiative aims to promote science education among youth across Pakistan.
The Asian Science Camp is a well-known international event. It brings together students and leading scientists from different countries. Participants share ideas, deliver presentations, and showcase scientific work. The camp also offers a chance to interact with experts in various fields.
During the Asian Science Camp, students will visit research centres and industrial sites. They will also explore laboratories, universities, and scientific institutions. These activities help students gain practical knowledge and global exposure.
Applications are open to both male and female students. Applicants must be between 17 and 22 years old by July 31. They must also be enrolled as regular science students. Eligible candidates include students in 11th or 12th grade. University students in their first or second semester can also apply.
Students must have a strong academic background. Key subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Good performance in these subjects is important for selection.
The selection process has two stages. First, shortlisted candidates will take a written test. This test will be held in major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Peshawar.
Candidates who pass the test will be invited for interviews in Islamabad. The final selection will be based on merit. An expert panel will choose five students. Their decision will be final.
Applicants should note that no travel or daily allowance will be provided. This applies to both the test and interview stages.
The application form is available on the official PSF website. Students must submit a completed hard copy to the PSF office in Islamabad. The envelope should be clearly marked “ASC-2026 Competition.”
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. The deadline for submission has been extended to April 25. Students can contact PSF via email or phone for further information.
