Briefing on Indian Aggression and National Unity

During these discussions, PM Shehbaz Sharif provided a detailed briefing on the Indian aggression along the Line of Control and the official response taken by Pakistan. He underscored the significance of national unity, stressing that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity would be defended at all costs.

Sources revealed that the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s continued vigilance and monitoring of the evolving situation, ensuring the nation’s security amid rising tensions.

Political Solidarity with Armed Forces

In response, political leaders from all parties expressed their solidarity with the armed forces and the government’s actions. Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman praised the government’s “strong response” to Indian provocations, calling for increased diplomatic engagement to bring Pakistan’s stance to the international community’s attention.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated, “All political differences are set aside. The entire nation stands united against Indian aggression.” He further emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami fully supports the government and Pakistan’s armed forces in these challenging times.

Context of Rising Tensions

This development follows heightened tensions between Pakistan and India after an alleged Indian strike on Pakistani territory earlier in the week, further complicating relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
