Pakistan Praises Norway's Recognition of Palestine

Both leaders supported the recent International Court of Justice ruling, demanding Israel halt its violence in Gaza and Rafah.

Norway and Pakistan both back the UN’s two-state solution for lasting Middle East peace. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that Norway, Spain, and Ireland’s recognition of Palestine would encourage other nations to follow suit.

He also called for international attention to the plight of Kashmiris, suffering under occupation for 76 years.The conversation included Pakistan-Norway relations, with both leaders eager to strengthen ties, especially in trade and investment.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the Norwegian Prime Minister’s positive remarks about the Pakistani diaspora in Norway, noting their role in connecting the two countries.

He invited Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store to visit Pakistan officially at his earliest convenience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
