Pakistan Hockey Team Secures Thrilling Win Against Malaysia

In a thrilling match at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Perak, Pakistan secured a dramatic 5-4 win over Malaysia with Abu Mahmood scoring the winning goal in the last minute.

The game, which featured a total of nine goals, saw some breathtaking moments as the Green Shirts fought hard for victory in the intense 60-minute battle.

Pakistan took an early lead with Sufyan Khan scoring from a penalty corner in the ninth minute. However, Malaysia quickly equalized through Abu Kamal Arzai.

At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at 1-1. Malaysia then took the lead in the second quarter with another goal from Arzai, who completed a hat-trick in the third quarter.

Despite Malaysia’s dominance, Pakistan fought back with two quick goals from Sufyan and Zikriya Hayat in the 50th and 53rd minutes, respectively.

Malaysia regained the lead in the 56th minute through Marhan Jalil’s goal, seemingly sealing the win. However, Pakistan refused to give up, with Sufyan scoring his third goal to level the score in the 59th minute.

In a dramatic finale, Pakistan earned a penalty corner in the dying moments, which Abu Mahmood converted to secure the victory.

Pakistan will face Korea in their next match at the same venue on Sunday.
