Pakistan Hockey Federation Unveils Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Squad

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced its 20-player roster for the forthcoming Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, with veteran Muhammad Abdullah leading the team’s campaign in the prestigious event.

Under the captaincy of Muhammad Abdullah and vice-captain Muhammad Murtaza Yaqub, the squad boasts a mix of seasoned expertise and emerging talent. Notable names include Abdullah Ishtiaq Khan, Saad Shafiq Ali Khan, Ehtesham Aslam, Umar Mustafa, Arbaaz Ayaz, and Samiullah, among others.

The team is under the guidance of a distinguished coaching panel headed by renowned Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh. Assisted by experienced coaches Ayaz Mehmood and Waseem Firoz, the coaching staff brings extensive experience and knowledge to ensure the team’s readiness for the upcoming challenges.

Departure for Malaysia is scheduled on May 2, initiating a journey filled with intensive training sessions before their opening match against Mirban team Malaysia on May 4. Armed with strategic acumen and tactical prowess, the Pakistani hockey team aims to leave a significant mark in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
