Pakistan Army Announces Jobs for 2026

The Pakistan Army has announced new recruitment opportunities for 2026, offering positions in several categories for eligible Pakistani candidates.

The latest recruitment drive includes Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Khateeb), General Duty Soldier, Technical Soldier, Soldier Driver, Military Police, Clerk, Cook and Sanitary Worker positions.

According to the official advertisement, registration will begin on September 1, 2026. Candidates can register through the official recruitment website or visit their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre.

The recruitment drive offers opportunities for candidates with different educational backgrounds. Requirements range from Primary and Middle education to Intermediate and religious qualifications.

For the Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Khateeb) position, applicants must have completed Dars-e-Nizami from an institution certified by the Higher Education Commission. They must also hold FA, FSc or an equivalent qualification.

General Duty Soldier, Soldier Driver and Military Police applicants must generally have passed Matric. Candidates from certain areas and children of martyrs may qualify under specific educational relaxations.

Technical Soldier applicants must have passed Matric with Science and secured at least a B grade. Candidates with higher qualifications will receive preference.

Clerk positions are available for candidates who have completed Intermediate with at least a C grade. Computer skills and higher education will be considered additional advantages.

Candidates applying for Cook positions must have passed Middle. Those with relevant cooking experience may receive preference. Sanitary Worker positions are open to literate candidates.

The age requirement varies according to the position. Candidates applying for most soldier categories must be between 17½ and 23 years old.

Applicants for Junior Commissioned Officer positions must generally be between 20 and 28 years old. Serving Army personnel can apply between the ages of 22 and 35 if they meet the required service conditions.

The maximum age for Sanitary Worker positions is 35 years. Candidates applying for Soldier Driver positions may receive up to two years of age relaxation if they hold a valid driving licence.

Candidates from Balochistan and the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also receive age relaxation under the applicable rules.

Physical requirements have also been specified for different positions. Junior Commissioned Officers must be at least 5 feet 3 inches tall.

General Duty Soldiers, Technical Soldiers and Soldier Drivers must generally have a minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches.

Military Police applicants must be at least 5 feet 8 inches tall. Clerks, Cooks and Sanitary Workers must generally be at least 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Candidates from Balochistan, merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan may receive a two-inch height relaxation where applicable.

Applicants must bring their original educational certificates and two attested copies. They must also provide four passport-size photographs, CNIC and domicile documents.

Applicants from Azad Jammu and Kashmir must also provide a State Subject Certificate. Candidates seeking any age, education or height relaxation must bring supporting documents.

Interested candidates can apply through the official Pakistan Army recruitment website at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. They can also visit their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre or Regimental Centre.

Registration for most positions will remain open until November 23, 2026. However, online registration for soldier positions will continue until November 16, 2026.

Candidates applying for the Naib Khateeb position must submit the required form at their nearest recruitment centre. Online registration is not compulsory for soldier positions.

After registration, eligible candidates will have to complete the required tests and other stages of the Pakistan Army selection process.

The recruitment drive provides opportunities for candidates with different educational qualifications and professional skills. Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements before submitting their applications.
