NADRA has issued an important advisory for overseas Pakistanis, warning citizens not to rely on unauthorized agents, consultants, or third-party service providers for identity document processing.
The authority clarified that no private individual, company, consultant, or dealer anywhere in the world has been officially authorized to process applications, collect payments, or handle computerized identity documents on behalf of NADRA.
In its public message shared through social media platforms, NADRA urged overseas Pakistanis to use only official channels and digital services to avoid fraud, financial scams, and misuse of personal information.
The advisory mainly targets Pakistanis living abroad who often depend on intermediaries for services related to CNICs, NICOPs, and other identity documents.
According to NADRA, all online identity services are available directly through official platforms, including the Pak Identity portal and mobile application. These services allow overseas Pakistanis to apply for identity documents from their homes without involving any middlemen.
The authority warned that several fake websites and social media pages have recently been pretending to represent NADRA or its alleged partners in order to target overseas Pakistanis.
Officials said some fraudulent platforms, including websites operating abroad under names such as “NADRA Card Center,” were falsely offering identity card processing services and even fake employment opportunities linked to NADRA despite having no official connection with the organization.
NADRA explained that such unauthorized websites and pages can misuse applicants’ personal information, official documents, and online payments. Authorities warned that victims may face identity theft, financial fraud, and other cybercrime-related risks.
The organization added that some of these fake platforms have already been reported to cybercrime authorities for investigation and legal action.
NADRA has once again advised overseas Pakistanis to submit applications only through its official website, Pak Identity portal, mobile application, or authorized NADRA desks available at Pakistani embassies and consulates abroad.
Citizens were also encouraged to verify all NADRA-related information through official websites, helplines, and customer support services instead of trusting unverified advertisements or social media pages.
The authority further stated that customer support remains available through official call centers and email channels for guidance regarding applications, document requirements, and complaint resolution without any involvement of agents or consultants.
