Maleeka Bokhari’s Sister Passes Away In Australia

In Brisbane, the older sibling of former PTI figure Maleeka Ali Bokhari passed away in Australia following an extended period of illness. Bokhari relayed the somber news via the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. “We have recently laid to rest our dear sister in Brisbane. Kindly offer Surah Fateha and Namaz Wahshat for my sister Syeda Erum Ali Bokhari, daughter of Syed Ali Qaswar Bokhari,” she posted.

It’s worth noting that Maleeka Bokhari was permitted to travel abroad to be with her sister after Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s intervention. In an earlier post, Bokhari mentioned her sister’s brain hemorrhage and her reliance on a ventilator. She explained that other family members were en route to Australia, but she was unable to join them due to being placed on the no-fly list. Bokhari appealed to the government to grant her permission to travel to Australia and visit her sister, who was fighting for her life at a hospital in Brisbane.
