Lahore Cafe Sparks Anger with PKR 2200 Cheesecake Slice

Lahore residents are renowned for their love of cheesecake, with numerous options available throughout the city. However, a local eatery in Lahore’s upscale DHA Raya area, Haute Dolci, is causing a stir by offering a slice of cheesecake for over PKR 2000. Despite the steep price, the dessert’s flavor and quality have disappointed many patrons.

Haute Dolci, a popular restaurant and cafe, is known for its high-end offerings. However, the exorbitant cost of their cheesecake has left customers underwhelmed. Reportedly, the cheesecake lacks the nuanced flavors one would expect at such a price point, and the chocolate topping has received criticism for its taste.

Interestingly, it’s not just the expensive cheesecake that’s left customers unimpressed. Other desserts on the menu, such as the Matilda cake and lotus pancakes, have been deemed mediocre as well. Some diners speculate that the restaurant’s prime location in an upscale neighborhood might be influencing the high prices, rather than the quality of the food

In contrast, there are other local establishments, like Crème of Heaven, that offer slices of Basque cheesecake at a much more affordable price, around PKR 550. These alternatives provide a creamy and light cheesecake experience without breaking the bank.
