Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi has officially launched the Khidmat-e-Sindh App. The digital platform aims to make government services more accessible to citizens.
The application will allow people to register complaints and seek solutions without visiting government offices. Citizens can submit their concerns directly through their mobile phones.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Governor Nihal Hashmi said 65 federal and provincial government departments had been connected to the platform. This integration will allow complaints to reach the relevant authorities more easily.
The initiative aims to improve public service delivery and make government institutions more accountable. It also seeks to ensure that citizens receive timely responses to their complaints.
65 Government Departments Connected to the App
According to the governor, the Khidmat-e-Sindh App brings multiple government departments onto one digital platform. Citizens will no longer need to visit different offices for submitting complaints.
The concerned departments will be responsible for reviewing and resolving complaints received through the application. Users will also have access to an online tracking facility.
This feature will allow applicants to monitor the progress of their submissions. They can check whether their complaints have been received or addressed by the relevant department.
Governor Nihal Hashmi said different government departments had worked together to develop the platform. Their combined efforts helped bring the initiative into operation.
Citizens Can Report Crime and Sanitation Issues
During the launch event, Principal Secretary to the Governor Dr Syed Saifur Rehman provided details about the application’s services.
He explained that citizens would be able to report different public issues through the platform. These include crime-related complaints, sanitation problems and concerns involving other public services.
The application is designed to provide a direct communication channel between citizens and government departments. It could also help reduce the need for repeated visits to government offices.
The platform’s complaint tracking facility will allow users to follow their applications. Relevant departments will handle the complaints according to their responsibilities.
Governor Calls for Public Participation in National Development
During his interaction with journalists, Governor Nihal Hashmi also discussed Pakistan’s creation and development.
He said Pakistan came into existence through the free will and voting power of its people. He emphasized that citizens must contribute towards the country’s progress.
The governor added that development would not come from external forces alone. Instead, people must work together to improve the country’s overall situation.
The launch of the Khidmat-e-Sindh App represents an effort to improve communication between citizens and government institutions. Its effectiveness will depend on how efficiently connected departments handle public complaints.
