Islamabad Police will receive Rs. 280 million for the hiring of vehicles and containers.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Friday, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Cabinet authorised Rs. 450 million as a Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) in favour of the Ministry of Interior to cover the operational needs of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.

Sources claim that the Ministry of Interior asked the committee to approve Rs. 500 million TSG so that the Islamabad police could pay off its debts and fund recruit training.

According to the breakdown, at the request of the Islamabad Police, the ministry requested Rs. 280 million for the hire of trucks and containers, Rs. 5 million for manpower training, Rs. 150 million for food costs, and Rs. 15 million for additional charges.

Subject to the approval of the Austerity Committee, the committee also considered and approved Rs. 35 million in additional funds as TSG in favour of the Ministry of Interior for the construction of 30 Tehsil-level Passport Processing Centres (PPCs) and the addition of 30 MRP Operational Officer posts in the Department of Immigration and Passports.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
