Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has been appointed Sports Ambassador of the Sindh Police Sports Board. The appointment was announced during a special ceremony held at the Central Police Office.
Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho presented Shahid Afridi with a certificate confirming his new role. The former cricketer also exchanged shields with the Sindh police chief during the event.
The Sindh Police welcomed Afridi and appreciated his decision to take up the ambassadorial position. IG Javed Alam Odho said Afridi’s association with the police force was a matter of pride.
Odho said the appointment would support the Sindh Police’s efforts to promote sports. He added that sports remain an important part of the department’s activities.
