India Defeats Pakistan In Asian Games 2023 Pool Match

In the Asian Games 2023, India defeated its arch-rival Pakistan in a Men’s Pool A match at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium in Hangzhou on Saturday.

Harmanpreet Singh scored four goals, and Sumit Kumar added two more in the victory, while Pakistan managed to score two consolation goals

Sumit, Lalit Upadhyay, Samsher Singh, and Mandeep Singh also contributed goals in this historic win, as India recorded a total of 10 goals against Pakistan, marking the first time in the sport’s history!

India maintains its position at the top of the table with four victories in as many games, having scored a total of 46 goals in the process.

With this win, the Indian team has secured a spot in the semifinals, while Pakistan will have to compete with Japan for the remaining slot from the pool if they want to stay in contention for a medal.

India’s next match will be against Bangladesh on October 2.
