Former Pakistan Cricket Captain Shahid Afridi’s Sister Passes Away in Karachi

Reportedly, the sister of the former Pakistan captain, Shahid Khan Afridi, passed away today in Karachi. This morning, Shahid Afridi conveyed the sad news of his sister’s demise to his followers on his X account, formerly known as Twitter.
(إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ,)
Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return.

On the preceding Monday, Afridi had posted a tweet, asking his fans for prayers for his sister’s swift recovery and good health. Tragically, the sister had been contending with an illness for some time and succumbed to it on Tuesday morning.

In the meantime, the funeral prayer for the former Pakistan cricket team captain’s sister is scheduled to be held today at Zikriya Mosque in Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi.
