Farhan Khan Of Pakistan U19 Football Team Passes Away

In a tragic incident, Farhan Khan, a player from Pakistan’s under-19 football team, who had previously represented the Shaheens in the AFC 2020 Under-19 qualifiers, lost his life in a road accident on Friday. The accident occurred while he was riding a motorbike in Swabi, resulting in serious injuries that proved fatal.

Hailing from Swabi, Farhan Khan had been part of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) departmental team in the country’s domestic football scene. His involvement in the sport dates back almost five years when he was selected as part of the 23-man squad for the Under-19 team during the AFC Qualifiers, under the coaching of Nasir Ismail. The tournament saw Pakistan facing teams such as Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, and Palestine in Group A, with Iraq hosting the matches.

Farhan Khan’s untimely death has deeply affected the football community, as expressed by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on their social media accounts. Despite his young age, Farhan had a notable football career, representing the SNGPL departmental football team in the 2021 Pakistan Premier League and earning four caps for Pakistan at the youth level.
