Police have registered a case against a driver accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old domestic worker in Faisalabad. According to police, the suspect allegedly assaulted the child at the residence where both of them worked before throwing her onto a neighbour’s rooftop and escaping.
The child was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment after the incident. Police have launched a search operation to arrest the suspect, who remains at large, according to the available information.
The case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s mother. Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the incident and collect evidence.
Suspect Escapes After Alleged Assault
Police said the accused worked as a driver at the same residence as the child. He allegedly took advantage of his access to the house and assaulted the girl.
After the alleged incident, the suspect reportedly threw the child onto a neighbour’s rooftop and fled.
Police reached the matter after the incident was reported and arranged for the child to receive medical attention. Investigators are now searching for the accused.
Authorities have not shared further details about the suspect’s identity or the progress of efforts to arrest him.
Separate Case Involves Allegations Against Mosque Prayer Leader
In another case reported earlier this month, a mosque prayer leader was accused of sexually abusing children in the Phagwari area.
The suspect was identified as Ammar Imtiaz. Police took him into custody after receiving a complaint and registered FIR No. 145/26 at Phagwari Police Station.
According to the available information, seven children have so far been identified as alleged victims. The allegations are under investigation and have not yet been established through legal proceedings.
Police are also arranging medical examinations of three children to help collect evidence and establish the facts of the case.
Investigation Underway in Phagwari Case
The suspect had reportedly been serving as the imam of a local mosque for around three years. He was also teaching children to recite the Holy Quran, placing him in a position of trust within the community.
Police have reportedly said that the suspect confessed during interrogation to abusing multiple children. However, this claim has not been independently verified, and the allegations remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
Investigators are collecting evidence and examining the complaints. The planned medical examinations are expected to form part of the investigation.
Further details about the alleged incidents and the children identified in the case are expected as the police inquiry progresses.
Child Protection and Police Investigations
Both cases involve serious allegations of abuse against children and highlight the importance of reporting suspected offences and ensuring that complaints are investigated properly.
In the Faisalabad case, police are searching for the driver accused of assaulting the eight-year-old girl. In the Phagwari case, the suspect is in custody while investigators examine allegations involving several children.
Authorities have not announced final findings in either case. The suspects’ alleged actions must be established through evidence and the legal process, while the safety, medical care and privacy of the children remain important considerations.
