The Ministry of Law and Justice has refuted claims of issuing any notification regarding Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s appointment as the next Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
In a statement, the ministry labeled the circulating notification as “fake” and clarified that it had not released any such announcement.

The clarification stated, “The notification about Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, senior judge of the Supreme Court, being appointed as CJP is fake. The Ministry of Law and Justice has not issued any such notification.”
Justice Shah, currently the senior-most judge after CJP Qazi Faez Isa, is expected to succeed the outgoing CJP next month. Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari mentioned Justice Shah as the next CJP.
