Check The Recent Symbols Given To PTI Candidate Post-Court Ruling

In a recent ruling, the Supreme Court of Pakistan denied the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) the retention of its emblematic electoral symbol, the cricket bat, marking another setback for the former ruling party as the country approaches the general elections. The party, already at odds with influential factions and political adversaries, faced a substantial crackdown, leaving its voters without the familiar identification of the cricket bat symbol. With PTI now stripped of its iconic symbol, party candidates are participating in the elections using individual symbols, potentially causing confusion among voters.

Following the Supreme Court’s late-night verdict, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the final lists of candidates for National and provincial assembly seats in Lahore. The new symbols assigned to PTI candidates for various constituencies include:

NA-118:
– PTI leader Muhammad Khan Madni is represented by the symbol of ‘Sheep.’
– Aliya Hamza Malik received the symbol of ‘Dice.’

NA-121:
– Wasim Qadir, an independent candidate, acquired the symbol of ‘Cricket stump.’

NA-122:
– Latif Khosa received the symbol ‘K.’

NA-123:
– Afzal Azim Pahat, an independent candidate, is represented by the symbol ‘Radio.’

NA-124:
– PTI’s Sardar Azimullah obtained the symbol ‘Watch.’
– Zameer Ahmed is identified by the symbol of ‘Dolphin.’

NA-125:
– PTI’s Jamil Asghar Bhatti secured the symbol ‘Drum.’

NA-127:
– PTI’s Shabbir Gujjar is denoted by the symbol ‘Hookah.’

NA-128:
– Salman Akram Raja acquired the symbol ‘Racket.’

NA-129:
– Mian Muhammad Azhar, an independent candidate, received the symbol ‘Cricket stumps.’

NA-130:
– Yasmin Rashid, as an independent candidate, is represented by the symbol ‘Laptop.’

For PTI Punjab Assembly candidates:

– In PP-148, PTI’s Salman Abbas is an independent candidate with the symbol ‘Aircraft.’
– In PP-149, PTI’s Nadeem Sherwani and Zubair Niazi are independent candidates with the symbols ‘Parrot’ and ‘Parachute.’
– In PP-168, PTI’s Nadeem Abbas Bara obtained the symbol ‘Cricket stumps.’
– In PP-169, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed received the symbol ‘Racket.’
– In PP-171, Mian Aslam Iqbal is identified by the symbol ‘Aircraft.’
– In PP-173, Dr. Yasmin Rashid is represented by the symbol ‘Coin.’
– PTI leader Muhammad Khan Madni secured the symbol ‘Bed.’

These individual symbols replace the cricket bat emblem traditionally associated with PTI, posing a challenge for the party in the upcoming elections.
